Marriage in the context of traditional Chinese values is polygamous. In Hong Kong, Chinese customary marriages were legal until October 1971. If the celebration of sexual diversity has to be grounded in traditional Chinese values, does it mean we should bring back patriarchy, concubinage and polygamy?
